Throughout my collegiate career I developed a strong interest

and understanding in the field  of event planning which has

helped me develop stronger communication skills.

PRSSA FUNDRAISING EVENT, FALL 2019

The Public Relations Student Society of America's chapter at Susquehanna planned another fantastic event, a fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis. After being nationally recognized for our Organ Donation Awareness Campaign, we were up to the task. We planned a Student V. Faculty Volleyball Tournament, 15 teams participated and we raised $490, all benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Check out the logo I designed using Adobe Creative Suite!

Event Mgmt.- Wedding Proposal

I took a class called Strategic Events Management in the Spring of 2019. Here we worked on many event projects but our final was to plan a hypothetical wedding for a Susquehanna faculty member. Attached here you will be redirected to our proposal. I worked on this with a team of four students where we diligently split duties and worked well as a team. I found entertainment, photography and videography for our event along with transcribing the final document and creating the presentation materials.

Ronald McDonald House, Spring 2019

PRSSA planned a night in April 2019 to travel to the Danville Ronald McDonald House to make a dinner for the families staying there at the time. We had sloppy joe's, mac & cheese, cake and candy for the families to eat. We planned carpools, dinner, set-up and clean-up services for around 10 students and our advisor.

MSABC Walk, Fall 2018

While a member of ZTA, I was Think Pink Chair. I created a week's worth of events revolving around education and awareness to our student body for Breast Cancer Awareness. Early in October 2018 I organized a group of girls to go to the Harrisburg MSABC walk and we volunteered for set-up and take-down and worked at different stations throughout the walk.

AWARD WINNING PRSSA EVENT, SPRING 2019

I assisted the Public Relations Student Society of America's chapter at Susquehanna with the planning of a state wide organ donation awareness campaign. Our chapter registered 107 organ donors with the potential to save 856 lives. The campaign won 1st place in the state of PA and was in the top 4 in the nation, we also received a national recognition from PRSA. We also won a Central Pennsylvania PRSSA Keystone Award.

PRSSA Wine Tasting Event, Spring 2019

PRSSA planned and hosted a wine tasting event held for research for the canned wine industry. We were in charge of finding a space for the event, renting linens and cups, acquiring canned and bottled wine donations, creating media releases for the school paper and radio station, and finding volunteers to work the event itself.

I Think Pink For...

Fall 2018

During Think Pink Week, one of our most successful events was our "I Think Pink For..." board, located outside of SU's most central building, at our campus fountain. Students would stop by, talk to ZTA sisters about their connection to Breast Cancer and then sign the name of their connection to the board. This allowed our student body to support one another while cancer is a difficult connection to share, it created unity and a support system.
